Clarice Pauline Ostwalt Miller, 89, of Troutman, N.C., died Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Iredell County on March 10, 1932, to the late John Ivey Ostwalt and Grace Ervin Ostwalt. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Ostwalt, and loving husband of 65 years, Harold Austin Miller.

Mrs. Miller devoted her life to faith, fellowship and family. She was a faithful member of First UMC in Troutman and cherished her church family. She enjoyed the Senior Group and her time spent with the Council on Aging, where she would create crafts with her daughter, Donna. Clarice studied her Bible daily and was often heard saying, “With God’s help,” and she gave God thanks for everything. She loved her family and was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Janie M. Dixon (Richard) and Donna Miller; two grandchildren, Kellie D. Vicars Casey (Billy) and Amy Dixon Hansen (Troy); and six great-grandchildren, Austin (16) and Evan Vicars (9), Jack (21 months) and Jett Hansen (12 weeks), and Caitlyn (18) and Will Casey (13).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Troutman First UMC with Pastor Jeff Hamrick officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. prior to the service at the Iredell Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
