James Lewis Morrow, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was born on June 15, 1943, in Mooresville to the late James and Nettie Hager Morrow.

Mr. Morrow was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Wallace, S.C. He was a founding member of the Tarheel Bantam Club. He loved showing his chicken and meeting new people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Trace Newman; brothers, Larry L. Morrow Sr. and William H. Morrow; and sister, Elizabeth M. Witherspoon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Smith Morrow; children, Tonya Renee Morrow Newman and husband Jeff, and Darin Scott Morrow; grandchildren, Jonathan Lewis Newman, and Jessica Nicole Newman; and brother, Charles Morrow.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Haynes officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
