Linda Sue Christenbury Hager, 73, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

She was born on January 10, 1948, in Mint Hill, N.C., to the late Juanita and Parks Christenbury. Mrs. Christenbury graduated from Mooresville High School. She was a member of Rockwell Baptist Church in Mooresville. Mrs. Christenbury loved going to the mountains and taking her grandchildren on vacation. When she heard the news of a great grandchild, she was so excited. She enjoyed cooking and talking about her butter beans as she called it.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hager; and brother, Dean Christenbury.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Nicholson (John Bufford) and Amanda Ray (Johnny); brother, Robert Christenbury; granddaughters, Kelsey and Kendra Parsons; great grandson, Braxton Walls; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, at Rockwell Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Barber and Rev. Kevin Hager officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville.
