Mr. Reginald “Dee Dee” Tatum, 66, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on May 14, 2021, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville following an extended illness. He was born in Iredell County July 21, 1954, and was the son of Annie Lee Miller Tatum and the late John Tatum. He was married to Sheila Tatum, who survives.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, in addition to his wife Sheila of the home, his children, Carlos (Jennifer Stokes) Sturghill, Travis Clark, Frankie (Nakia Little) Clark and Carmal Sturghill, all of Statesville; siblings, John Wayne Tatum, Benny Ray Tatum, and Donna Butler, all of Statesville, Gloria Tatum, Loretta Mitchell of Charlotte and Todd (Lynn) Tatum of Lahman, Va.; mother-in-law, Dorothy Sturghill; siblings-in-law, Cathy Grimes, Robin Sturghill, Gary (Gayle) Sturghill and Todd (Kimlee) Dalton Sturghill; grandchildren, Daishyah Sturghill, Davion Aviaz Clark, Tacari Clark, Camiel Stughill and Zavion Torrence; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 1 p.m at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, Statesville, N.C. Bishop Wilford Walls will officiate.
