Mr. Timothy Eugene Redmon Sr., 50, of 4725 Harmony Highway, Hamptonville, N.C., was born in Iredell County on October 11, 1970, and was the son of Mary Lou Carson Redmon and the late Oliver Eugene “Bud” Redmon. He departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2021, in Hamptonville.

He was a graduate of North Iredell High School and was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Harmony, N.C. His hobbies included music and more music. He enjoyed playing the Bass and Lead Guitar, and he loved his family and in his words, “One Love!!!”

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life in addition to his mother, Mary Lou Carson Redmon of the home; his sisters, Tina Redmon-Johnson (Lionel) of the home and Jamie Stevenson of Georgia; his children, Jasmine (Alex) Anderson, Timothy (Christine) Ortiz, Tyana Redmon, Eryn (Ty’Heem) Redmon, and Jayda Redmon; eight grandchildren, Delila, Ailyana, Noriella, Alijah, Zendaya, Raiya, Josiah and Cole; his godparents, Rev. and Mrs. Norman Dudley of Olin, N.C.; his special nieces and nephews, Ni’Yana “Nina”, Elijah “Bud”, Javier “J. T.”, Lionel Jr., Terrance (Porky), Tyrone, Michael and Makayla; and a host of cousins, other relatives, the Mt. Nebo Church Family and friends.

Pallbearers are Kevin Dobson, Duane Smith, Wayne Campbell Sr., Tyrone Carson, Brendon Steele Jr. Redmon, Brandon Steele, Bud Eckles, Damon Turner and Travis Lewis. Flower girls are Paula Waugh, Lynn Baldwin, Sherry Grinton, Li’Johnda Dalton, Pamela Summers, Vicky Dobson, Juanita Sharpe and Twania Mykins.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, 603 South Center Street, Statesville, NC 28677. Rev. Tyrone Redmon will officiate and Reverend Norman C. Dudley will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery in Harmony.

There will be no public visitation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
