Ms. Tina Michelle “Mae” Dalton, 54, of Statesville, N.C., passed away at Iredell Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 10, 2021. She was born in Iredell County on October 27, 1966, and was the daughter of the late Billy Ralph and Eloise McClelland Dalton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Bond; her nephew, Kierre Dalton; and her lifelong best friend, Joyce Bennett.

Ms. Dalton was a graduate of North Iredell High School. She worked as Textile Weaver at Thor-Lo. A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Tina will certainly be missed.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her daughter, Tyisha Dalton of Statesville; two sons, Tevin O’Brien Dalton of Statesville and Khalil Rashad Dalton of the home; grandchildren, Tymir Dalton of Mooresville, Tamarianna McCorkle of Statesville, and Jahira Dalton and Faith Dalton both of Raleigh; sisters, Peggy McClelland of Statesville, Lynda K Dalton of Harmony, Phyllis Dalton (Hubert) Reid of Mooresville, Sharon D Dalton of Harmony, R.Lonnette Dalton of Harmony and Wilma Jane (Steven) Blevins of Taylorsville; brothers, Albert Dean McClelland of Statesville, Eddie Lavon Dalton of Harmony, Jeffery O’Neal Dalton of Harmony and Keith Redmond of Statesville; aunts, Virginia McClelland of Statesville, Joann McClelland of Harmony, Betty D Redmon and Janet D. Steele, both of Statesville; a lifelong friend and partner in parenthood, Dewayne Knox of Statesville; and another lifelong friend, Clarence (Skeet) Ikard of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, classmates, church family and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, September 17, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Pastor Charles Davidson Sr. will officiate.

Members of the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
