On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Catherine “Kay” Savoca, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 104. She was born on November 5, 1917 in Pennsylvania.

She spent most of her adolescence and young adult years in Roselle Park, N.J., where she met and married the love of her life, John Savoca. They relocated to Delray Beach, Fla., in the 1970s, where she lived until 10 years ago, before moving to Mooresville, N.C. John and Kay spent 56 beautiful years together before he passed away in 2006. They had two children, Charles “Chuck” Savoca and MaryAnn Savoca Miciek. Kay spent her adult life as a homemaker, doing what she loved. She thoroughly enjoyed entertaining and was a wonderful cook. Kay was always nurturing and kind-hearted. Even when words became tough for her to put together and vocalize, she always had an “I love you” for anyone who came to visit.

Kay was preceded in death by her loving husband, John, and their daughter MaryAnn.

She is survived by her devoted son, Chuck; daughter-in-law, Beri; her five grandchildren and their spouses, Karie (Ronnie), Jr. (Dianna), Alyse (Jeremy), Ian (Paige) and Nick (Demi); and her 16 great-grandchildren, Dreama, Jaiden, Hailey, Sophie, Jayden, Eli, Zaylen, Gabe, Adelaide, Luke, Carly, Lexi, Samuel, Joshua, Jaxson and Noah. She is also survived by her amazing caregiver, Jackie, and her children.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Boynton Beach Memorial Park in Boynton Beach, Fla.
