Graham Horace Torrence, 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Abernathy Laurels in Newton, N.C. He was born August 22, 1935, in Davidson, N.C., to the late Ray Torrrence and Edna Rummage Torrence. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Torrence Neill, and brother, Vernon Torrence.

Graham proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He also served in the Air National Guard. He worked for Mooresville Telephone Company/Alltel for over 43 years before his retirement. Graham was well known in the Mooresville community and loved by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ann Safrit Torrence; son, Jeff Torrrence (Sherry); grandsons, Jared and Blake Torrence, as well as Tara Boike and Taylor Hartley, whom he considered his grand-daughters.

A Celebration of Graham’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Eddie Karriker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park with full military honors.
