Juanita Huffman Adams, 85, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022, at Abernathy Laurels Retirement Community in Newton, N.C. She was born February 15, 1937, to Robert W. and Roxie G. Huffman of Wilkes County.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Bobby Adams; her sister, Alfreda Michaels; and her mother and father.

She is survived by her sister, Beseda Walsh (Ronald); daughter, Bobbie Northern (Johnie); son, Steven Adams (Brooke); granddaughters, Stephanie Josey (Troy), Lauren Stokes (Tory), and Charlotte Adams; step granddaughter, Nicole Northern; grandson, Garrick Adams; and step grandson, Michael Northern; great granddaughter, Elea Josey; step great granddaughter, Caroline Tuthill; great grandsons, Parker Josey and Titus Stokes; and step great grandson, Nathaniel Tuthill.

After growing up in Wilkes County, Juanita shared her life with Bobby in Iredell County, where she continued to reside after Bobby’s passing. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to garden, cook for her family, sing and play the piano, and take annual trips to the beach. A woman of strong faith, she attended church services every Sunday for as long as she was able.

A Graveside Service will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lynne Lepley officiating.

The family would like to thank all the hospice staff that lovingly cared for Juanita. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 27625.
