Judy “Darlene” Johnson Patterson, 64, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.

Darlene was born on October 3, 1957, in Caldwell County, N.C. She retired from Southern States, where she worked for over 35 years. She was working as manager of the Feed Bucket in Mooresville. She loved traveling to the beach, fishing, and cooking. Darlene enjoyed watching HGTV and was a fan of cooking and home improvement shows. Her home was always open to her son’s friends and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Ronnie Knox Patterson; and brother, Gregory Johnson.

She is survived by her sons, Tracey Wade Patterson and wife Kim, Jeremy Robert Patterson and wife Amanda; brothers, Chad Johnson and wife Angie, and Chris Johnson; grandchildren, Hunter, Patrick, Alaina, Jacob, Alyssa, and Wade; and her beloved pets, Baby and Teddy.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, at Coddle Creek ARP Church Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Shoger officiating.
