Kelly Eugene Parker, 69, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, N.C. He was born on December 22, 1952, in Mooresville to the late Grady Eugene and Reba Karriker Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Parker.

Kelly began his ministry working with the youth at the First Assembly Church in Mooresville. He served his Lord for 11 years as an evangelist, then served as Senior Pastor of the Lake Norman Foursquare Church in Cornelius.

Kelly is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sheila Swink Parker; children, Anne Parker Cole, Jonathan Parker (Shannon), Jesse Parker (Robin), Rachel Parker Vandenbark (Cody), and Ashley Hyman (Vanessa); grandchildren, Ashlynd Cole Whitener (Nathan), Morgan Cole Belmont (Kyle), Kaytlyn Cole Burden (Clay), and Austin, Blaize (Lilyan) Jaylee and Samuel Parker, Memphis and Harlan Parker, Brooklyn Pate, and Memphys and Nila Hyman; great-grandchildren, Jacobie, Jace and Jaxson Whitener, and Saylor and Blakely Burden; brother, Mitchell Parker (Nicky); and niece, Jada (Aaron).

A Celebration of Kelly’s Life will be held on Sunday, February 20, at 3 p.m. at Grace Covenant Church, 17301 Statesville Road, Cornelius, N.C., with Rev. Jason Midgett officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park.
