Marshall Thomas “Tom” Redman, 84, of Cleveland, N.C., passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022. He was born to Allen Graham and Willie Bell Seay Redman on October 20, 1938.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, William Redman; and sisters: Margaret Skull, Shirley Caldwell, and Ruth Kesler.

Tom is survived by daughters, Deatra (Steve) Simpson of Cleveland, N.C., and Deanna Troutman of Cleveland, N.C.; and grandsons, Zack Simpson, Jeremy Simpson, and Easton Troutman, all of Cleveland, N.C.

Tom was a dirt track race car driver for decades. He loved baseball and traveled to many states watching his grandsons playing baseball. He never missed any of their games and was their biggest fan. Tom loved rodeos and NASCAR.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Cleveland City Cemetery beginning at 2 pm. The family will receive guests at Cleveland Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the service.

The family would like to thank the 5th floor nursing staff Iredell Memorial Hospital and the amazing staff at Gordon Hospice House. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s honor to Gordon Hospice House.
