Mary Agnes Jackson Wiggins, 93, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. She was born in Mooresville, N.C., on November 9, 1928, to Claud Elijah Jackson and Ethel Sechler Jackson.

Mary Agnes graduated from Landis High School in 1947, where she was a cheerleader. She was employed by Harris Teeter from the time she was a girl until she retired in the early 1970s. For the next 50 years, she sold Avon, enjoying the interactions with all her customers.

Mary Agnes was a lifelong member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. She loved horses and any thing “Western.’ She and her husband Carl participated with their horses and buggies in many Christmas parades. She also enjoyed flower gardening.

Her sister, Sue Jackson, and her husband of 73 years, Carl “Foot” Wiggins, preceded her in death this year.

She is survived by her son, John Wiggins (Roxanne); grandsons, Anthony Wiggins and Michael Wiggins; and great grandson, Alexander Wiggins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. William Gipe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Presbyterian Church, 9425 W NC 152 Highway, Mooresville, NC 28115.
