Ms. Alma Luticha Redmond, 66, was born in Iredell County, N.C., on July 2, 1957, to the late Clay Redmond and Addie Williams Redmond. She departed this life on Monday, July 10, 2023, at her home.

Alma attended Iredell County Schools and graduated from the Surry County Nursing School with the Class of 1982-1983. She was employed as a nurse at Maple Leaf Health. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where she served as an usher and on the kitchen committee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shannon “Shawn” Redmond; and a grandson, Jordan Campbell.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life one daughter, Sandra Redmond of Winston-Salem; her godmother, Irene (Dallas) Steele; three grandchildren, Shawn Redmond, Kierre Brown, and Kyra Jones; a great granddaughter, Nykoa Webster; three brothers, Randall (Anita) Redmond of Kannapolis, and Timothy “Tim” Redmond and Kevin Redmond, both of Harmony; three sisters, Wilma Turner of Harmony, Elaine (Calvin) Dobbins, and Tracy Redmond of Mocksville; nieces and nephews, Marisha Steele and Evan Redmond; special friends, Carla Nichols and Rhonda Nichols; and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. Reverend Tyrone Redmond will be officiating the service.
