Charles Dale Hagler, 70, of Mooresville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2023. He was born on December 12, 1952, in Mecklenburg County to the late Charles and Myrtle Spain Hagler.

Dale was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, Class of 1971, and worked for many years on vibrational analysis in the HVAC commercial and industrial industry. He enjoyed playing the guitar, mandolin, and fishing when he could. His love of bluegrass music was shared to all that listened, and he loved attending bluegrass festivals. Another one of his pastimes was trying new recipes out on the family; especially desserts.

Dale loved spending time with his family and telling funny jokes. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 49 years, Debbie Watson Hagler; daughters, Hope Cochran and husband Mack, and Erin Currie and husband Nathan; sisters, Susan Hagler, and Barbara Watson and husband Joe; grandchildren, Chloe, Aura, and Bay; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the chapel of Cavin Cook Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Ayers officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 W Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or American Heart Association 128 S Tryon Street #1588, Charlotte, NC
28202.
