Jack Feezor Nelson, 81, of Mooresville, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

He was born on December 14, 1941, in Mooresville to the late Baxter and Lacy Honeycutt Nelson. Mr. Nelson retired from Metrolina Sprinkler Company. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville. He was a workshop handyman and could do any home improvements. Mr. Nelson enjoyed all sports, especially baseball where he coached youth leagues. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, along with his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Claudia Denine Nelson; brothers, Mack, Jerry, and Don; sisters, Betty and June; and granddaughter, Brandy Marchell Neill.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Stiers Nelson; daughters, Angie Neill and husband Larry, June Pharr and husband Randall; sisters, Evelyn Oates and Billie Compton and husband Jack; grandchildren, Brandon Neill, Bridget Neill-Hardwick, Devin Pharr, and Samantha Pharr; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service following at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. David Klinedinst officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
