Sharon Richardson, 82, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on August 11, 2023. She was born on February 19, 1941, in Maine.

Sharon was a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College and spent most of her career working in the Admissions Departments at MIT. She was a great woman of faith and served her Lord faithfully. Sharon loved her church, The Bridge Church of the Nazarene, where she was a very active member and an integral part of the Praise Team. She loved music and singing. You could count on Sharon being present for each rehearsal even when it wasn’t her Sunday to sing. She also enjoyed participating in her life group, the “Morning Glories,” for Bible studies and group activities, especially the lunches after their meetings. She enjoyed being around her friends, who loved Jesus and loved her.

Sharon was a very dedicated wife to her late husband Everette. They particularly enjoyed traveling together and singing in the community choir, Magnify. Sharon’s sense of humor was extraordinary and she loved to make people laugh, sometimes even poking fun at herself. Sharon was also an avid reader.

The most important part of life to Sharon was her relationship with God and encouraging everyone she met to love and serve her Savior. The first thing that Sharon heard on Friday as she left us here on earth and instantly entered heaven were the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everette Richardson, in 2015.

She is survived by her church family who loved her deeply.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at The Bridge Church of the Nazarene, Mooresville, N.C. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Iredell Memorial Park in Statesville, N.C.
