Angel Antonio Santiago, 20, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. He was born on April 19, 2004 in Iredell County, N.C., to Adam Santiago and Yolanda Norman Santiago.

Angel was a very compassionate, caring, loving young man who had a genuine heart. He enjoyed football, riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his brother, sisters, and grandmothers.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Peggy Norman.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, La’Shala Jones Leake (Aaron), D’Angelo Santiago and Lillyana Santiago; grandparents, Arnold Norman, Jose and Emilia Santiago; aunts and uncles, Katrena Dobson (Frank), Shawn Norman, Sakiri Norman (Fallon), Isaac Norman (Lisa), Marco Santiago, and Uncle G; cousin and close friend, Yomar Colon; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins; and his beloved K9-Chubby.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 4, from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Dr. C. Randy Minor officiating. The family asks for the ones attending to please wear his favorite color red and out of respect for the family phones are to be left in vehicles.
