Angela Gale Borders, 60, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Atrium Health in Charlotte. Born on August 21, 1963, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late William Borders and Ella Mae Turner Borders. Angela had a passion for writing and enjoyed playing Bingo; she thought she owned the game.

Angela was known for her love by ministering and sharing that love for her Lord and Savior. As a youth, Angela attended Chestnut Grove Church in Cool Springs and later attended First Pentecostal Church in Statesville. She was well known for welcoming everyone who came to Huntersville Oaks; one could say Angela was the “welcoming committee.”

In addition to her parents, William and Ella Mae Borders, she was preceded in death by Jerome Borders, II. Left to cherish her memory include her children, Jerry Borders (Missy), Angie Borders (Tony), and Michael Borders (Emily); grandchildren, Tivon, Tivonna, Sha’Quavion, Je’Rome, Treyonna, Ethan, Azariah, and Sapphire; sisters and brothers, Linda Spears (Kevin), Sandra Reid, Yvonne and Joe Bennett, Jerome Borders, Jerry Borders, Bernard Borders, Lester Borders, and Debra Borders; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and her special friends, Andy Reid and Karen Williams.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, February 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Turner officiating, Bishop James C. Jackson Jr. giving the Eulogy, Jerry Borders II reading a poem, and music by Sara Elaine Moss. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service beginning at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nicholson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
