Barbara “Bobbie” Marie Hinch Belcher, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at her son and his wife’s residence.

She was born on January 1, 1946, in Camden, N.J., to the late Michael and Jean Manato Hinch. Barbara graduated from Maison De Paris Beauty College and retired as a beautician after 40-plus years of working and owning salons in the Kernersville and the Winston-Salem, N.C., areas. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville. Bobbie received multiple awards as the Business Manager of the 75 Comets with the Kernersville Soccer Association from the years she assisted and served. Her dedication to Youth Soccer as the vice president of KSA will never be forgotten. She loved watching her son Denny play and coach soccer at all levels, and she was his biggest supporter. Bobbie enjoyed watching Reality TV, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, engaging in social media, going to the beach, dancing and listening to old school hip-hop. In her younger years, she loved traveling to New York and Atlantic City, the Jersey Shore and the Bahamas. She loved her family and spending time with them and cherished taking care of her three grandchildren while making everlasting memories. She had a very special relationship with each grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannie “Little Pita” Thompson; and brothers, Bruce Hinch, Michael “Jimmy” Hinch Jr., and Gary Hinch.

She is survived by her son, Dennis (Denny) Henderson and wife Tara; sisters, Joan Hollar and Patty Boltinghouse; grandchildren, her only and special granddaughter Piper Schlabach and husband Joshua, and her two special grandsons, Dominic and Roman Henderson; and several close nieces and nephews who she loved very much. Her very special friend, Andrea “Andi” Lepperhoff of Germany, who she hosted as a foreign exchange student during her high school years who became like a daughter to her. She cherished their friendship and relationship greatly and was able to see her one last time in the Fall of 2023.

Donations in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated to be given to underprivileged sport communities and/or plant a tree in her honor.
