Delbert Pharr, 88, of Statesville, N.C., passed away March 28, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House after an extended illness. He was born on March 28, 1936, to the late Robert Pharr and Mary Johnson Pharr.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Foster; one son, Robbie Pharr; and one brother, Robert Pharr.
Survivors include Nancy Louise Pharr, his wife of 34 years; two daughters, Debbie Weston (Gary) and Donna Bragg (Andrew); two stepsons, Ralph Stevens (Kelly) and David Stevens (Celeste); four brothers, Alfred Pharr (Madeline), Larry Pharr (Becky), Michael (Karen) and Gene (BobbyJean); one sister, Dorothy Privette (Pete); and seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday April 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Stony Point Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Dagenhart, Rev. Taylor Miller and Rev. Gene Shumaker officiating There will be a brief visitation 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the graveside prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gordon Hospice House of Iredell County.
