Elizabeth “Lib” Howington Reynolds, 92, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born on December 4, 1931, in Maiden, N.C., to the late John and Ruth Michael Howington. Mrs. Reynolds was retired from American Standard Printing. She was a member of Church of God of the Bible in Huntersville, N.C. Lib enjoyed crocheting and watching TV. She loved going to NASCAR races with her husband until she was unable to and then she never missed a race on the TV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Reynolds; and son, Larry E. Reynolds Sr.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Larry “Chip” Reynolds Jr. (Jackie Privett) and Stacy Baumgartner (Bill); great grandchildren, Tyler Ingle (Kailyn Craig), Alyssa Ingle, Devin Reynolds, Jacob Privett, Josh Privett, and Jolie Privett; great great grandsons, Hunter and Easton Ingle; daughter-in-law, Lynn Williams; niece, Beverly Sloan (Tom); nephew, Frankie Reynolds; and cousin, Jeanne Burns (Bob).

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Eddie Karriker officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Maiden.
