Evelyn Cornelia Pearson, 84, of Cleveland, N.C. passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Mooresville, N.C. She was born December 29,1939, in Iredell County to the late Elvert Cowan and Zoreather Turner Cowan.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Anthony Jerome Cowan, Curtis Lee Pearson, and Fred Demario Pearson; and her daughters, Diana Caldwell and Jacqueline Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Lee Pearson; her father, Elvert Walter Cowan; and her mother, Zoreather Turner Cowan; her brothers, Joseph Cowan, Arthur Cowan, and Elvert W. Cowan Jr.; and her sisters, Estelle Rouse, Helen Gaither, Sarah Gaither and Mildred Hill.

A Celebration of Life for Evelyn will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, 705 Davie Avenue, Statesville, NC 28677.
