James “Ronnie” White, 76, of Davidson, N.C., passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Mooresville Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

He was born January 4, 1948, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late James Edward White and Geraldine Williams White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Annette White and Donna W. Young.

Ronnie worked for Davidson College for over 45 years before his retirement. He was a former member of Reeves Temple in Davidson. He enjoyed walking, watching old movies and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest joy was fishing.

Ronnie is survived by a brother, Glen Edward White and wife Harriett; nieces and nephews who were more like his children to him, Charlene, Jerry and wife, Candy, Timothy and wife Vanessa, Lamont and wife Shandolynn, and Dominic White and wife Angela, Davina Dempsey and husband Howard, Telicia Young, and Damenica Cooke; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, April 6, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Young and Pastor Chris Springs officiating.
