Lucy Marie (Daniels) Timmermann peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2024, at her home in Davidson, N.C. Lucy was born on May 20, 1928, in Sanford, Mich., to Louis and Phyllis Ivy (Brazier) Daniels, who predeceased her. He father had immigrated from Naples, Italy, and her mother from England. Lucy was very proud of her heritage. She married Vanarsdale Demski on February 4, 1948. Together they had five children and resided in Midland, Mich.. He predeceased her on August 17, 2000.
Lucy was residing in Punta Gorda, Fla., when she met Walter Timmermann, whom she married and moved to Carolina Shores, N.C. He predeceased her in October 2021. Lucy was predeceased by her daughter, Lucy Ann (LuAnn) Wagner, in December 2021 and her brothers, Charles, Harry, Fred, Arthur Daniels, and her sister, Phyllis Wilcox
Surviving are her four sons, Vanarsdale (Sandy) Demski of Cleveland, Texas, Frank Demski of Midland, Mich., Thomas (Jeannie) Demski of Davidson, N.C., and Charles (Renee) Demski of Lockport, N.Y.; a special son-in-law, Kevin Wagner, and daughter-in-law, Marcia Demski, both of Midland, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Lucy worked with her husband Dale for many years in Amway Corporation as Ruby Direct Distributors. She worked at Michigan Bell Telephone, where she retired, and then opened her own nail/beauty salon, Beauty by Lucy Marie in Midland, Mich., until she sold it to her daughter, LuAnn, and moved to Florida. Lucy and Walt were very active in the VFW in Calabash, N.C., along with her quilt club. Lucy was an avid sewer, making beautiful quilts for her family and to donate to soldiers. She was still sewing with her son Tom up until she died. Together they made her last three quilts for family Christmas presents.
We would like to thank the VIA-Lake Norman Hospice and Pam Foltz for the special Care they gave her during her final days. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is potentially planned for May 2024, in Midland, Mich.
