Nancy Boger Clendenin, 77, of Cleveland, N.C., passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her home. She was born July 21, 1946, in Rowan County and was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Edith Shuping Boger.

She was a graduate of West Rowan High School and was married to the late Steve Clendenin. She and her husband Steve owned a sheep farm, which she continued to manage after his passing. Nancy was also a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and shopping and dearly loved her family. She was a long-time member of Third Creek Presbyterian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Teresa Goodin (Mark) of Statesville; her grandchildren, Mary, Sidney and Luke Goodin, and Hadley, and Sawyer Clendenin. She is further survived by two sisters, Marilyn Basinger and Betsy Safrit; and one brother, Jerry Boger. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Clendenin, and two brothers, John, and Joe Boger.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nancy Clendenin will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Third Creek Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jerry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
