Robert “Bobby” Harold Hobbs Jr., 70, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on March 31, 2024, at S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House with his family by his side. He was born May 10, 1953, in Mooresville to the late Robert Harold Hobbs, Sr. and Virginia Barker Hobbs.

Bobby served proudly in the Army National Guard for six years. He graduated from South Iredell High School. He was a loyal and deeply committed member of Mooresville Moose Lodge #2012. Bobby worked for many years as a forklift mechanic for Caterpillar and Yale. He began his own company repairing forklifts with Race City Forklifts. He enjoyed many years of motorcycle riding and participating in bike shows. His passion for his old cars led him to show them in many car shows. His “get away” from work was spending time at the beach house.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Pat” Calhoun Hobbs; daughter, Brittany Hobbs Starnes and husband Marvin; daughter-in-law, Annette Bowers Griswold; granddaughters, Braelyn Starnes, Karrington Starnes, and Autumn Griswold.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory.
