Tammy Lee Brookbank, 56, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at her home. She was born May 8, 1967, in Rock Hill, S.C., to AB Smith and Erma Dean Wilson and later adopted by Charles Larry Brookbank.

She was an employee of the Town of Mooresville for over 10 years. Tammy loved her family. She treated everyone that she met like they are so very special. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, and most often could be seen finding seashells. She was very thrifty and enjoyed collecting different items.

Tammy was preceded in death by her brother, Ivan Smith, and father, AB Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Ogden and Racheal-Dean Ballard (Quinn); brother, Charles Larry Brookbank Jr. (Sharon); sister, Synthoni Metro (John); nephew, Justin (Riley) and their daughter, Kinsley; niece, Cayleigh and her children, Eli and Emma; grandchildren, Jaden, Leo, and Elliot; and Tammy’s “fur man,” Fred.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, February 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A Celebration of Tammy’s Life will be at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Trent Patterson officiating.
