Carl Roberts, of Harmony, N.C., born on February 2, 1946, in Williamsburg County, S.C., passed away peacefully at his residence on June 26, 2025, following a brief illness. He was a devoted family man who dedicated his life to those he loved and cherished.

Carl enjoyed a fulfilling career as a truck driver, a profession that took him across many miles but always brought him home to his loved ones. He was a graduate of Hemingway School in South Carolina, and his education laid the foundation for a life defined by diligence and responsibility. Known for his quiet demeanor, Carl’s personality was marked by a calm presence that provided comfort and stability to those around him.

In his younger years, Carl found joy in fishing, a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect on life’s simple pleasures. A man of the Christian faith, he approached each day with gratitude and humility.

Carl leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Ramona Sharpe Roberts, who was his partner and confidante throughout their journey together. He is also survived by two sons, Patrick Roberts and Phillip Roberts, who carry forward the values and love taught to them by their father. His family circle includes a sister, Gwynnette Lewis (James), and four sisters-in-law, Barbara Roberts, Shirley Roberts, Janice Roberts, and Lyn Roberts, all of whom will remember him fondly.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Beverly Roberts; and two sisters, Shirley Ready and her husband Jim and Gail Altman and her husband Teddy. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Earl, Paul, Jr., Bobby, and Ray Roberts.

As we remember Carl Roberts, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, dedication, and quiet strength. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends, who take solace in the memories and the profound impact he had on their lives.

A private service will be held in South Carolina.
