Chad Clark Renegar, 48, of Conover, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2025, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength and deep love for his family, friends, and community.

Born on February 18, 1977, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Travis Little Renegar Jr. and Imogene Templeton Renegar, Chad grew up rooted in the values of hard work, humility, and faith. These values became the foundation of a life spent building—both with his hands and with his heart.

A skilled brick mason by trade, Chad had a gift for crafting beauty from the earth, shaping stone and mortar into places others could call home. But his greatest talent lay in fixing what was broken. He could truly fix anything. He found joy in the simple things in life and enjoyed pedaling down the road on his bike with the wind at his back. Chad was of the Christian faith and attended Winthrop Friends Meeting in Union Grove, N.C.

He is survived by his loving mother, Imogene Renegar; his beloved daughter, Kodie Cass; and his two brothers, JJ Renegar and Bryant Caudill. Chad’s presence in their lives was steady and strong—he was the kind of man who showed love through action, always showing up when he was needed most. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Renee Caudill.

A memorial service to celebrate Chad’s life will be held and announced at a later date.
