Matilyn Campbell Pharr, 85, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Matilyn was born June 9, 1939, in Iredell County to the late Roby Gray Campbell and Dorothy Hall Campbell. She was a graduate of Troutman High School and a retired cafeteria manager for the school system. She was a member of Southview Baptist Church.

Left to cherish Matilyn’s memory are her husband of 65 years, Alfred R. Pharr; daughters, Jill Meetze (Herman) and Joy Rumple (Scott); sons, Randall Pharr (June) and Todd Pharr; grandchildren, Taylor McMillan (Bennett), Devin Pharr, Samantha Pharr, Mallory Pharr (Matt) and Kailey Rumple; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Campbell, Robert Campbell (Linda), and Steve Campbell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Parks and Rev. Walter Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice nurse and friend, Lorrie Warren, and caregiver, Shauna Smith, along with Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County and other dear caregivers.
