Associate Pastor Paula White Morrison, 65, lovingly known to many as “Posh,” passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at Atrium Health of Cabarrus County.

Paula was born on January 1, 1960, to Forrest Leo White and Annie Chambers White. A woman of deep faith, compassion, and strength, Paula devoted her life to serving others both in her professional career and in ministry. She graduated from North Iredell High School and went on to earn her degree from Mitchell Community College in 1990. She served as a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant in Statesville, N.C., where her gentle spirit and healing hands touched many lives. In addition to her healthcare service, Paula answered a higher calling in ministry. She served faithfully as an Associate Pastor at Helps Ministries of Deliverance, where she ministered with grace, conviction, and love.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Morrison; and their beloved children, Tiffany McHenry (Kham) of Smyrna, Ga.; Tia Rutherford (Kevin) of Columbia, S.C.; and Teresa Sawyer (Devon) of Statesville, N.C.; grandchildren, Cedric Sherrill and Chloe Sawyer of Statesville, N.C., and Psalm Rutherford of Columbia, S.C.; her loving parents, Forrest and Annie White; siblings: Juanita Hall, Paulette White, Laurence White, and Nathan White, all of Statesville, N.C.; Terry Rhoney of Kennesaw, Ga.; Bryan White (Dalia) of Houston, Texas; Dale White (Paula); and her honorary sister, Angie Minot (Jeff). Paula’s memory will also be carried on by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and those she spiritually mentored.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Christ Cathedral. Visitation will take place from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Pastor Corey Rhoney will deliver the eulogy, and Tammy Frailey will officiate.

Paula “Posh” White Morrison will be remembered for her unwavering faith, boundless love for her family, and tireless service to others. She lived a life of purpose and leaves behind a powerful legacy of faith, kindness, and strength.
