With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we share the passing of Bette Ann Forsythe, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., who passed away on April 24, 2026, at her residence. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bette was born in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hester and Denver Forsythe, she spent most of her life in Westerville Ohio, where she raised her family, before retiring to North Carolina to be close to her grandchildren.
Bette was truly one of the kindest people you could ever know. She had a gentle heart, a selfless spirit, and always put her family first. Her strong Catholic faith guided her life, and she found great joy in serving others through her church and community.
She loved planting flowers and had a green thumb just like her mother. She was an avid reader, an animal lover, and was always had a wonderful sense of style (even doing a little bit of department store modeling back in her younger years). Bette also enjoyed going to the gym and staying active.
Bette was a dedicated and hardworking woman who built a successful career, spending 38 years with Mettler-Toledo International Inc. Upon retirement, she took a part-time job at Putnam Mechanical, where she found her second work family.
Bette is survived by her daughter, Cresa; son-in-law Tom; two grandchildren Makenna and Nick; and her sister Jeri, along with many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Immediate services are not planned at this time. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
