Catherine Jean Osburn, 63, of Mooresville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and steady strength touched everyone who knew her.

Catherine is survived by her sister, Teresa Hinkle; her daughters, Ashley Custer (Lenny), April Torrealba (David Carpenter III), Amy Gaisford (Scott), and Autumn Carruthers; her grandchildren, Aaliyah, Jackson, Alivia, Mckenna, Conor, Oliver, Thea, and Amaya; and a loving extended family who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Patterson; her father, Seymour Maltese; and her sister, Robin Kenney. The family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with them in eternal peace.

Catherine lived her life with a generous heart and a gentle spirit, always putting others before herself. Her greatest joy was her family, and she poured her love into every moment she shared with them. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor David Porter officiating.
