Cynthia Hill shook off her mortal coil and transitioned to join The Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Atrium-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was born in Alexander County, N.C., on January 27, 1959, the daughter of Betty Teague McCurdy and the late Dwight McCurdy.

Cynthia enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and she would give you anything that she suspected you may need or want. She touched many lives throughout Wilkes County, working in the school system and fostering several children.

In addition to her mother, Betty Teague McCurdy, those left to cherish and honor Cynthia’s memories include her children, Crystal Harris (Traci) and Michael Harris; her step-sons, Zaraan Hill (Madison) and Zavier Hill (Rachel); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylorsville, N.C. Visitation with family to immediately precede the service at 10:30 a.m.
