Henry Joseph Shiloff passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a sudden and brief illness. Born on March 14, 1957, in San Diego, Calif., to Barry and Joyce Shiloff, Henry lived a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys of creating and building with his hands.

Henry was welcomed into eternal rest by his beloved sister, Dayna, who preceded him in death.

On June 25, 1977, he married the love of his life, Robin Barrows Shiloff, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage and built a devoted family together.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Robin; his daughters, Heather (Danny) and Heidi (Chris); and his cherished grandchildren, Evan (Danielle) Dalton, Joey (Becky) Ramsey, Savannah (Dustin) McDaniels, Gregory (Kaloni Horton-Jones) McCoy, DJ Greve, and Lilly Greve. His grandchildren brought him endless pride and joy.

Henry was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren who could always make him smile and laugh: Colby, Anna, Haley, Clara, Henry, Jerry, Jayson, Grayson, Ruby, Willow, Amoura, and Barrey.

He graduated from James Madison High School in San Diego in 1975. Henry recently retired from Shavers Wood Products, where he worked as a dedicated log truck driver. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others whenever needed.

In his free time, Henry enjoyed tinkering in the garage and yard, always finding ways to fix, build, or create something new. Whether working with his hands or spending time with family, he found happiness in life’s everyday moments.

A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on June 27 at the family home. The family will also be accepting visitors at their home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Flowers are welcome, and in honor of Henry, donations may also be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society.

Henry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
