
Jeanette Singletary, 62, of Durham, N.C., and originally from Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on April 28, 2026. She was a strong, funny, and loving woman whose presence could light up any room and bring comfort to those around her.
Jeanette was known for her strength, her sense of humor, and the love she poured into her family. She had a deep appreciation for oldies music and found joy in the simple beauty of birds. Her bold, funny laugh was unforgettable—one that could fill a room and bring smiles to everyone around her. Whether she was sharing a laugh or offering support, she created lasting memories with everyone who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Sheadale J. Singletary-Moore, and son-in-law, D’Andre Moore. She is also survived by her brothers, Fredrick Jenkins and Theodore Jenkins, and her beloved grandchildren, Naseem Ashruf, Harmony Lee Moore, and Harleigh Andrea Moore, who will continue to carry her love forward.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Singletary, whom she now rests with in eternal peace.
