John A. Cirello Jr., 57, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2026. He was born in New Jersey on January 7, 1969, to John A. Cirello Sr. and Frances Cirello.
At a young age, John’s family relocated to Bishop, Texas. After living in Texas for several years, they moved back to New Jersey. Those years in Texas fueled a later love for Texas A&M football.
After graduating from New Hampshire University, he began a 30-year career in IT at Rack Room Shoes.
He found his love in life with Debbie Bryant, and they had 26 wonderful years together.
John loved the outdoors, all things Margaritaville/Jimmy Buffett, KISS, fishing, boating, camping and his adventures and travels with Debbie.
John was an avid cat lover, and he will be sorely missed by Reveille and Nancy (and by default, Hokie).
He is survived by his partner Debbie; his mother, Frances; brothers, Dominic and Michael; sister-in-law, Sharon; and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and sister in-law, Ellen.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cavin Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, followed by a celebration of life at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin Cook Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Paw It Forward Animal Rescue (Concord, N.C.). Donations can be made via their Facebook page or Paypal pawitforwardanimalrescue@gmail.com. Hokie and Reveille were rescue kitties from this wonderful organization.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Cirello family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
