John Nicholas Noto, loving father and grandfather, passed from this life to the presence of Jesus Christ on May 9, 2026.
John was born in Lafayette, N.Y., on December 8, 1932, to the late Anna and Nicholas Noto. He was the youngest of six children, all of whom have preceded him in death. John grew up on a dairy farm in East Syracuse, N.Y. He proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Valley Forge attack aircraft carrier in the 1950s. Later he owned a restaurant with his brother Jim. His career included sales with many different companies over many years. He also built houses in the Mooresville area prior to retiring.
John had four children, Nicholas who preceded him in death, and Douglas, John and Liz Noto and daughter-in-law Mariela Noto, who survive. His wife of 43 years, Jayne Noto, also survives him, along with five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
John cared for and loved his family very much until the end of his life. His family is thankful to our Lord for the life given John and the many years of good health.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
