
Joyce Kale Sigmon, 67, of Statesville, N.C., passed away at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, N.C., after an extended illness on March 2, 2026. Joyce was born on October 14, 1958, to the late Daniel Andrew Kale and wife Lela Burns Kale. Joyce was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Statesville and worked as a nurse at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Barry D. Sigmon of the home; her two sons, Shelby Haithcox and wife Alyssa of Statesville, and Clinton Haithcox of Statesville; her step-daughter Natalie York and husband Ethan of Snow Camp; her two brothers, Daniel Elwood Kale and wife Jill of Stony Point, and Andrew Bryce Kale and wife Tammy of Statesville; her four grandchildren; her six nieces and one nephew; and eight great nieces & nephews. Joyce loved her family, especially her two sons, Shelby and Clinton Haithcox.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Statesville 1950 Salisbury Road, Statesville, NC 28677, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. Pastor Paul will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Statesville, 1950 Salisbury Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
