Lester Forrest Arrington, 76, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at his home.
Lester was born December 13, 1949, in Iredell County to the late Elmer Forrest Arrington and Irene Millsaps Arrington. He was a barber for over 50 years and the owner of Brookdale Hair Center. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Karen Sharpe Arrington.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Russell Arrington (Jenny); daughter, Krystal Arrington; and sister, Valerie Hobbs (Larry).
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Hill officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 2 until 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
Arrangements for Lester are in the care of Troutman Funeral Home.

Lester was a good man. Grew up close to where he lived. My parents and his were friends, went to same church as kids, went to school with him all my life. His son Rusty brought him to our last Central School get together at Amalfi’s. We were so glad to see him. He will be missed.
