Patricia “Patty” Ann King Lineberger, 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

She was born on July 23, 1938, in Mooresville to the late Arthur and Carrie Bell Huie King. Patty spent her entire life in Mooresville and truly knew everyone in town. She devoted her life to her role as a homemaker and was known for her time as a waitress at Laney’s Fish Camp in Mooresville. A member of Berea Baptist Church in Mooresville, Patty found joy in her faith and community, forging lasting connections with everyone she met.

She enjoyed dining out with friends, late-night phone conversations, shopping, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Patty never met a stranger and dedicated much of her free time to visiting friends, showing her unwavering loyalty and kindness to all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Lineberger Sr.; and her siblings: Dorothy Hill, Charles King, Arthur King, and Donald King.

She is survived by her children, Bobby Lineberger Jr. and his wife Tammy, and Mindy Edmonson and her husband Chuck; her brother, Barry King and his wife Jimmie; her cherished grandchildren, Dakota Lineberger and his wife Maria, Cole Edmonson and his wife Sabrina, Addi Lineberger, and Jack Edmonson; and as well as her great-grandchild, Lincoln Lineberger.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery in Mooresville.
