Patricia Ann Stikeleather Thorneburg, 87, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Pat was born in Statesville, N.C., on April 26, 1939, to the late Kenneth Stikeleather and Hazel Hobson Stikeleather. Pat will be remembered for being a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin and friend. Her devotion was evident in the way she cared for, supported and remained present for her entire family throughout the years. Pat loved music and dancing, was a voracious reader, a devotee of British TV and a passionate follower of professional tennis.

The family is thankful for the care she received throughout the last year at Brookdale East Broad in Statesville and grateful for the friendship and love she received from the other residents at Brookdale. The compassionate care provided by the nurses and doctors at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem brought great comfort to the entire family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Lynn Thorneburg (Dr. Susan Hockaday), Dana Thorneburg Sineath (Eric Sineath), Landon Thorneburg, Amber Thorneburg and Erica Thorneburg; grandchildren Kendall Thorneburg, Parker Thorneburg, Ana Hockaday, Sam Sineath, and Ethan Sineath; and extended family and friends.

Visitation with the family will be begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville. Burial service will follow at Iredell Memorial Park in Statesville with Reverend Tom Nesbit officiating.
