
Richard Franklin “Frank” Lewis, 82, of Kannapolis, N.C., passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 26, 1943, in Asheboro, N.C., to the late Alex and Lillian Brown Lewis.
A proud graduate of Catawba College, Frank received his bachelor’s degree and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. In 1972, he proudly established his own practice, R. Frank Lewis, CPA, in Mooresville, N.C., where he served the community with integrity and dedication for over five decades.
Frank was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Kannapolis, where he selflessly served as treasurer. His faith was deeply rooted, and he was admired for his unwavering commitment to helping others.
In his leisure time, Frank enjoyed four-wheeling adventures with his family, as well as a lifelong passion for cars, particularly hot rods and classic automobiles. Frank loved attending car shows and sharing his passion for vehicles with fellow car enthusiasts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hoyt and Roy Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Pamela Randolph Lewis; son, Garrett Lewis and wife Kenetha; grandson, Landon Lewis; brother, Ronnie Lewis and wife Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service following at 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Kannapolis, with Rev. James Pauley officiating.
