
Ronald Frank Moracco, 73, of Troutman, N.C., passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his home.
Ronald was born on July 3, 1952, in Utica, N.Y., to the late Joseph Salvatore Moracco and Helen Lombardo Moracco. He attended Watermark Church and was a well-respected teacher and coach throughout his life.
Ronald coached baseball, golf, and basketball, and also taught Driver’s Education, leaving a lasting impact on many students and athletes. Outside of his work, he enjoyed golfing, sports, and spending time in his garden. He especially loved taking walks with his dogs.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his nephew, Joseph Moracco, and his sister-in-law, Dona Vivolo Griffith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Mary Ann Vivolo Moracco; daughter, Daniella Yackel (Matthew); brother, Joseph Moracco (Patti); sister-in-law, Lena Fontein; brothers-in-law, Joseph Vivolo, Adriano Vivolo and Phillip Griffith; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel.
