
Scot Andrew Burleson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, April 19, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born in Manassas, Va., to the late Edgar “Ed” and Barbara Burleson on April 5, 1970.
Scot was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Burleson and Barbara Burleson Houck.
Scot graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with a computer degree. He worked as a Network Engineer, but his true passion was playing his keyboard with his band SOND or at church. Scot loved Mexican food and going to concerts.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Stacey Daniel; brother, Todd Burleson and wife Jessica; sister, Christina Eicher and husband John; stepfather, Bob Houck; stepmother, Sybil Melton; and several nephews and nieces, Andrew Burleson, Jonah Burleson, Elijah Burleson, Nathan Burleson, Elizabeth Eicher, Emma Eicher, and John Paul Eicher, and his dogs, Solo and Piper.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Forge at Salisbury (2203 Mooresville Road, Salisbury, N.C.).
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. A time will be set aside for anyone wanting to share a “Scot story” so come ready to share.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Forge at Salisbury in Scot’s name.
