
Thor Eugene Weisner, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1942, in Arcadia, N.C., to the late James and Lottie Kimel Weisner.
He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for RJ Reynolds for more than 40 years, and enjoyed NASCAR, watching westerns and working on cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lou Weisner.
Those left to cherish Mr. Weisner’s memory are his loving wife, Glenda Nifong Weisner; children, Jan Lowder (Wesley) of Matthews, N.C., Vicky Jackson (Randy) of Pinnacle, N.C., BiBi Chandler (Todd) of Dandridge, Tenn.; siblings, Phillip Weisner, Dru Hopkins, and Karen Weisner; grandchildren, Jackie Soriano, Able Soriano of Concord, N.C., Caitlyn Hannah, Carson Hannah, Carly Hannah of Greenville, N.C.; great grandchildren, Nico Soriano, Kade Soriano, Chase Soriano, Joel Soriano, Jaxon Gator, Josie Cherry, Gunner Hannah, and Anthony Holloway; nieces, Donna Hopkins, Gina Young and nephew, David Hopkins.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
