Special to Iredell Free News

The Marshall Steam Station Community Service team donated multiple large cartons of food to American Renaissance School’s Backpack Program on Thursday, December 12.

The ARS Backpack Program provides food to families in need, ensuring those students have healthy,
accessible food at home over weekends and holiday breaks.

As a public charter school, ARS relies greatly on the support of the community. Charter schools are funded at a lower rate than regular public schools, so community support is essential as ARS continues its vision to be the best choice for K-8 public education in North Carolina.

With a 21-year history in Downtown Statesville, ARS is honored to have been selected as a beneficiary by Marshall Steam Station’s Community Service team.
