After holding steady at 25 for several days, the number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Iredell County increased to 31 on Thursday.
According to the N.C. Department of Health & Human Services, there are now 1,857 cases across the state.
Sixteen deaths have been attributed to the novel coronavirus in North Carolina, and 184 people are currently hospitalized.
Across the United States, there have been 213,144 reported cases, including 4,513 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The global count has surpassed 954,000 cases with more than 48,000 deaths attributed to COVID-19, according to media reports.
