Iredell health officials reported another death attributed to COVID-19 on Monday, raising the county’s death toll to 22.

The Iredell County Health Department does not release identifying information about COVID-19 patients, including those who pass away.

On Monday, the Health Department reported 60 new cases, increasing the total number of laboratory confirmed cases in Iredell since the pandemic began in March to 2,160. Among those:

♦ 431 people are currently isolating at home;
♦ 16 people are hospitalized; and
♦ 1,691 people are presumed recovered

County officials consider to urge residents to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and wash their hands frequently.

Geographic Dispersal of COVID-19 Cases in Iredell County

According to the Health Department, 836 people in the southern end of the county have tested positive, along with 874 people in the central region and 450 in the northern end.
